Steven J. Allen, Senior Writer
Mr. Allen has served ATA clients for 25 years.  He has a law degree and Ph.D., was a press secretary to a U.S. Senator, and wrote chapters on mass communications in two textbooks.  He has written for The New York Times and Newsday, and served on the advisory committee to the Congressional Internet Caucus.  The National Journal called him a “digital revolutionary.”

Rick Anderson, Account Executive
Mr. Anderson is responsible for leading integrated marketing solutions – including direct mail, e-mail, telephone, major gifts, and event planning – for ATA charitable clients.  He has 14 years experience in the direct response industry and won the Direct Marketing Association’s Maxi award for a campaign he produced for the largest Catholic Church in North America.


Susan Doner, Senior Advisor & Copywriter
Mrs. Doner has been a leader in direct mail marketing for over 30 years.  Her unique ability to write, design and develop cutting edge donor acquisition programs has taken many issue-advocacy and charitable organizations from obscurity to national prominence.  Her management and marketing strategies provide growth and long-term financial stability for an array of non-profits.

Frank Dorner, Account Executive
Mr. Dorner cites his attention to back-end analysis of mailing/test results as the key to success for his accounts.  Running macro and micro reports give his clients the information they need to flourish.  Small things like selecting targeted outside lists and developing house/reactive segment selections also go a long way to making programs work.

Bob Garvey, Account Executive
Mr. Garvey broke into the business keeping circulation number for William F. Buckley Jr. at National Review.  His direct marketing/direct response clients have included Ginsu Knife, Intel, Nike, Microsoft, and the RIGHT political clients.  At ATA Garvey serves several ideological organizations and measures client fundraising goals and serves their fundraising mission.

Georg Getz, Senior Copywriter
Mr. Getz creates direct mail packages and Internet content for ATA’s largest clients and manages the company’s in-house freelance writing staff.  He has also served as press secretary and legislative assistant on Capitol Hill, has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows, and has written op-eds for the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the Christian Science Monitor, Investor’s Business Daily, and other publications.

Michael Gorman, Vice President of Internet Marketing
Mr. Gorman is a 23-year veteran of direct response marketing.  Gorman’s experience includes strategic planning, market research, financial analysis, e-mail and search marketing, web site development, subscription, membership, continuity and catalog marketing, advertising sales, media buying, and new product development.

Ben Hart, Senior Advisor & Copywriter
Mr. Hart is a 25-year veteran copywriter and author of The Internet Money Explosion, How to Write Blockbuster Sales Letter, Automatic Marketing, and Fund Your Cause with Direct Mail.  His direct marketing experience has been featured in Direct Marketing, DM News, Who’s Mailing What, and his consulting efforts have generated more than $500 million in donations.

Art Kelly, Director of Research and Legislation
Mr. Kelly conducts research and tracks legislation issues for all ATA clients.  He has held leadership positions with four seniors organizations.  Previously, he was a political appointee in the Reagan Administration at the U.S. Department of Education.  A former radio host, he is the President Emeritus of the National Press Toastmasters Club in Washington, D.C.

Rhonda Knight, Account Executive
Ms. Knight works closely with clients and is responsible for driving their marketing and fundraising efforts, development of creative strategy, list selection, budgeting and forecasting for multimillion-dollar campaigns.  She manages a production team of three.  Ms. Knight holds a B.S. in government and politics from George Mason University.

Dorothy Miller, Chief Operating Officer of American Mailing List Corporation (an affiliate of ATA)
Mrs. Miller has 14 years experience in the fundraising industry, concentrating in creative strategy, donor lists analysis, and acquisition, as well as mail plan implementation for large non-profit organizations.

Eli Mohseni, Director of Information Technology
Ms. Mohseni provides administrative direction and support for daily operational activities such as network procedures, policies, security, web sites, e-mail, desktop, and server support for ATA.  She also works closely with copywriters and the Internet Division to conduct e-mail campaigns, maintain databases, create reports, and develop web sits for different clients.

Mary Preston, Production Manager
Mrs. Preston has more than two decades experience in direct marketing and currently serves as an ATA production manager for a major non-profit organization serving veterans.

Kirk Raymond, Copywriter
Mr. Raymond is responsible for creating direct mail packages, newsletters, and fundraising e-mails for a variety of ATA clients.  Formerly, he was the editor of the Legislative Action Report, a weekly newsletter of the United State Business and Industry Council, and he was the principle creator of content for their web site.

Vi Shields, Vice President of Administration
Ms. Shields serves ATA in Human Resources and internal vendor contracts, resource allocation, and multiple special projects.  Vi served as director of administration at Association Management Bureau, as office manager at Dynamic Business Interiors, and as the contractor administrator & senior client services representative at Hazleton Laboratories, where she successfully completed Corning’s Total Quality Program.’’

Gayle Stone, Director of Client Fulfillment
Mr. Stone manages fulfillment and “Thank You” or receipt letters (online/offline) for ATA clients.  Prior to ATA, “Stoney” served as Printing Manager for the Defense Intelligence Agency and was production manager for several non-profit organizations.  He taught direct mail science (design, printing, postal regulations, etc.) at Catonsville (Maryland) Community College.
